The Client's Story

This eastern suburbs property was structurally sound and in good condition, however the design style was largely unchanged since the 1980s, and so the clients wanted to update much of the decor and many of the fixtures.

In addition, the client was looking for the layout to be reconfigured in a number of key areas, most notably the wet areas, the kitchen and the lounge room. They wanted to open up the main entertainment spaces and make other areas more user friendly and suitable for the family’s current needs. There were a number of must-haves that our clients wanted from this Adelaide home renovation.

The first of these was a new kitchen, including custom joinery to replace the existing cupboards and benchtops, along with more effective use of the available storage space. As part of this, they were also looking for a way to better integrate the raised kitchen with the dining and lounge rooms. More storage in the lounge room was essential, along with a small desk incorporated into the space.

The end result of this home renovation was a stunning, contemporary home that is not only more light and spacious, but also better meets the needs of the family.

One of the most significant aspects of this home renovation has been the way in which our design has integrated the different areas, bringing them together so that the property is not only more aesthetically appealing, but also has a layout that is more practical and functional.

This renovation has been a major undertaking, but the results are stunning. Replacing the kitchen and the walk in pantry has not only made this important space more user friendly, but it is also now better integrated with the lounge and dining areas, creating a more modern looking, airy space that is much more welcoming.

The renovations to the bathroom, ensuite bathroom and laundry have also been significant. New fixtures and fittings have created a much more contemporary look and feel, but just as importantly the reconfiguring of these spaces has also made them more user friendly and in line with the family’s needs.
