Sanctuary at Vale Park
The clients where ready to downsize but did not want to compromise on all the bells and whistles. Despite the need for some renovations to bring this townhouse up to modern standards, the location was incredible. It was crucial that the end result of this renovation would meet their needs at this point in their lives.
The property had been rented out for many years and was showing signs of wear and tear, with termite damage in the wall frames, a leaking balcony that was causing damage to the living room, and a kitchen that was falling apart.
We completed work in all areas of the home including the kitchen, pantry, laundry, living rooms, bedrooms, and balcony.
The kitchen and living were the main focal points. The kitchen with a brand new footprint which would be a delight to cook and entertain in. The terrazzo bench and navy blue flue being the absolute standouts. A couple walls where moved to give us the ability to add a butlers pantry into the space. A huge opening was created to enter the butler’s pantry to make it very inviting. From the butlers pantry you could enter the laundry through the flush line cavity sliding door.
An eco-fireplace was built and installed to the living room which which added an element of sophistication.
New flooring and lighting was installed throughout the house. The spotted gum timber flooring complimented the terrazzo floor tiles and the neutral lit down lights throughout, LED strip lighting coupled with timber bladed fans fit the space and worked in every aspect possible.
The balcony was completely removed and re-modelled to remove the need of any flashings on the parapet walls. A full length strip grate was also incorporated into the balcony floor plan which looked great coupled with the terrazzo tiles.
A bedroom wall was shifted to make room for the huge double entry his/her walk in robes. Every aspect of the bedroom is a dream come true with the custom made bedding and navy blue/Tasmanian oak joinery.
